Hilary Swank attended Variety’s first-ever Spirituality and Faith in Entertainment event on February 13 in Los Angeles.

The Alaska Daily alum was a vision in a white suit with unique long sleeves that hung over the outside of her arms leaving them mostly outside of a sleeve on the hip-length, double-breasted blazer.

The Million Dollar Baby and Boys Don’t Cry Oscar winner, 49, wore her chestnut brown hair in an updo with tendrils hanging down the right side of her face.

Hilary was one of the speakers at the event presented by the Faith and Media Initiative (FAMI) alongside Roma Downey, 63, and Rainn Wilson, 58.

The P.S. I Love You actress spoke about her movie Ordinary Angels which debuts in theaters on February 23.

She also spoke to Variety’s senior culture and events writer Marc Malkin about faith-based movies and entertainment that she has ties to.

Ordinary Angels was originally scheduled to be released on October 13 but the release date was moved away from Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour blockbuster movie.

The film is inspired by the ‘incredible true story of a hairdresser who single-handedly rallies an entire community to help a widowed father save the life of his critically ill young daughter’ who needs a liver transplant to survive.

The movie is based on the 2023 memoir of the same name by Sharon Stevens Evans, whom Swank portrays in the film.

It tells the poignant story of Kentuckian Ed Schmitt, played by Alan Ritchson, who is a widow who lost his wife to a respiratory illness.

He has five-year-old and three-year-old daughters who both have a life-threatening liver disease.

Swank’s character saw a newspaper article in the Louisville Courier Journal about Schmitt’s daugthers – who lost their mom to a respiratory illness.

The family’s plight inspired Sharon to step in and try to help the family in any and all ways she could.

Roma Downey also spoke at the event about her long history of starring in religious based television shows and movies.

The Touched By an Angel alum stars in the upcoming 10-episode Amazon Prime series The Baxters as Elizabeth Baxter.

The Love Boat’s Ted McGinley plays Downey’s character’s husband John Baxter and the couple have five adult children.

The Baxtersare a faith-infused family. The series is based on Karen Kingsbury’s best selling novels.
