Hey, I’m Deirdre Bosa and this is your CNBC tech check briefing. Billionaire Warren Buffett says the Berkshire Hathaway cut its massive Apple steak in the first quarter by about 13%. The Oracle of Omaha making the announcement of the company’s annual shareholders meeting in Omaha, NE over the weekend. Apple is still Berkshire’s biggest holding, with Buffett praising the company saying it was an even Better Business than two of Berkshire’s oldest and largest investments, American Express and Coca-Cola. Sony is backing off a requirement for players of its new game, Hell Divers 2, to link their Steam and PlayStation Network accounts. The company reversed the policy following user backlash over the weekend, including 10s of thousands of negative reviews that led the game to be delisted in 177 countries, and YouTube is testing out AI to get users to the good part 9 to 5, Google reports. Some YouTube Premium subscribers can now skip to the most watched part of a video. But only in the YouTube app. YouTube Premium costs 1399 a month. Users can now double tap the right side of the screen, which normally skips ahead 10 seconds, then tap a Jump ahead button that appears. That’s all from the West Coast.
