EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers are locked into second place in the Pacific Division.
With the Vancouver Canucks winning 4-1 against the Calgary Flames, they have solidified first place in the Pacific Division. However, the match ups in the Western Conference have yet to be ironed out.

The Oilers opponent will either be the Los Angeles Kings or the Vegas Golden Knights.
Last night, the Golden Knights beat the Chicago Blackhawks by a 3-1 score – causing them to leapfrog the Kings in the standings. Both teams only have one game left to play on Thursday – with the Kings now one point back of the Golden Knights.
On Thursday night the Golden Knights play the Anaheim Ducks and the Kings play the Blackhawks. If the Kings lose, the Oilers play the Golden Knights. If they lose in overtime or a shootout, they tie with the Golden Knights in points.

For the Oilers to play the Kings, the Kings need to win and the Golden Knights need to lose. Even if the Golden Knights simply get a point in their game against the Ducks, they are guaranteed to play the Oilers in the first round.
Both of these games will start after the Oilers have taken to the ice to play their final game against the Colorado Avalanche.
Buckle up Oilers fans – this could be a wild finish.
