This is the moment a horrified mother arrived home from holiday to find a room in her house covered in 900 metres worth of tinfoil – which took five long hours to remove.
Anna Jankowski, 36, was outraged when she realised the extent of her 20-year-old son Maks’s prank, which left everything from the walls, kitchen units – and even her coffee-maker and fruit in a bowl – wrapped in aluminium.
He spent a whopping £225 on supplies for the endeavour – including foil, cellotape and Blue Tack – and laboured over the project for more than 40 hours.
Maks decided to film his mother’s reaction to the surprise as she returned back home to London from a trip to Poland.
Footage shared on TikTok last month shows the influencer painstakingly covering the room in 125 rolls of the metallic covering.

The social media star claimed that he didn’t sleep for 40 hours to complete the prank, before taking a two-hour nap and finishing it just in time for Anna to return home.
One clip featured the exasperated parent holding her head in shock as she entered the room before picking up neatly wrapped items to inspect Maks’s work.
Clearly irritated but entertained, Anna pretended to hit him with a wrapped pan before ripping some foil from the sofa and throwing it at her son.
Maks, who was pleased with the bizarre outcome, says his prank took so long because he needed to stick each piece of toil perfectly as it would rip if he tried to take it off.
He added however that Anna made him make her a cup of coffee as soon as she realised she wouldn’t be able to fix herself up a brew.
‘She just wanted to relax when she got home so I could tell she was a bit annoyed and when she was helping me take it off I got that vibe from her,’ he admitted.
‘It was crazy,’ Anna I agreed. ‘When I saw it I wanted to throw the foil at him.’
The prankster’s video on his TikTok @thatguymaks has been viewed more than 19.9 million times.

Delving into his process, Maks explained that he had to be ‘really delicate’ with the prank.
‘To make sure it’s done precisely, I couldn’t rush it,’ he said. ‘The thing with aluminium foil is you’ve got to do it in one big strip and put it up straight to make sure it’s aligned because if you put tape on it you can’t take it off. It just rips.
‘The most difficult part was the chairs because they took about an hour per chair because they kept sliding off.’
While Maks is ‘not the type of person to give up’ – he admitted he was ‘slowly getting annoyed’ with the process.
‘I couldn’t even cook so I had to order food,’ he revealed. ‘It was quite cold at that time but with the foil on it felt like a heater, so we didn’t need the heating on.’

One joked: ‘That’s it! He’s out of the will.’
Another said: ‘I thought I was wasting MY life – now I feel better thanks.’
A third added: ‘That looks so cool though!’
