A BBC reporter was left red faced after Andrew Scott walked away from him for asking a question about Barry Keoghan’s nude scenes in Saltburn.
Scott was walking the red carpet at the BAFTAs on Sunday night when the Dubliner stopped to chat to BBC reporter Colin Paterson.
The reporter asked Scott a question about “prosthetics” in the context of a scene featuring Keoghan dancing without clothes in the film and asked Scott how well he knows the other actor.
Scott was asked about his reaction to the scene by the BBC entertainment correspondent: “I won’t spoil it for anyone. It’s great, it’s great,” Scott replied.
Paterson then invited Scott to “spoil away” and asked: “There is a lot of talk about prosthetics. How well do you know him?”
The All Of Us Strangers actors waved away the question and walked away from the interview, with Paterson asking if he “took it too far”.
Barry has yet to react to the interview, but the Dubliner posted a picture of him and Scott followed by a string of love heart and four-leaf clover emojis on his Instagram account.

The interview has received widespread criticism on social media from viewers who felt the question was cringey and inappropriate.
Line of Duty actor Craig Parkinson accused the BBC of “lazy and possibly offensive journalistic pit falls,” while former BBC entertainment commissioner Sohail Shah said it was cringeworthy.
Shah said: “If this is the level of Colin Paterson’s interviewing technique these days, it’s absolutely time that he hang up his microphone. I am cringing at this. #BAFTAs”
A theatre critic in the UK, Mark Shenton, said: “How utterly embarrassing is this BBC red carpet interview with the brilliant Andrew Scott. Andrew handles it with supreme tact – but why was he even asked this?”
Human rights lawyer Caoilfhionn Gallagher described it as “appalling”, questioning why the topic was raised. “Because Andrew is also Irish, like Barry Keoghan? Because he’s gay? Baffling and insulting to both of these talented actors.”
One social media user called it the “most awkward cringe-worthy Bafta red carpet question ever”, while another said they had lodged a complaint with the BBC over the “inappropriate” question.
