Die Gastgeber knüpften nahtlos an den harmlosen Auftritt vor einer Woche gegen Stade Lausanne-Ouchy (0:2) an. Die Krienser nutzten so die dritte Gelegenheit nach bloss sechs Minuten. Kein Thuner sah sich auf der rechten Seite verpflichtet, den Vorstoss von Izer Aliu zu unterbinden. Dieser konnte mit dem früheren YB-Spieler Helios Sessolo sogar noch einen Doppelpass zelebrieren und schliesslich sein erstes Saisontor erzielen. Es war dies für die Innerschweizer im 15. Spiel erst der achte Treffer.

Einen unmittelbaren Weckruf bedeutete dieser für die Thuner nicht. Sie machten sich erst nach 20 Minuten durch einen Weitschuss von Miguel Castroman offensiv bemerkbar. In der Folge wurden sie etwas zwingender. Auch weil Trainer Carlos Bernegger seine Startelf neu formierte. In der Innenverteidigung tauschten Nikki Havenaar und Nicola Sutter die Positionen, Alexander Gerndt rückte vom Flügel ins Zentrum hinter Sturmspitze Saleh Chihadeh, dafür wich Castroman auf die Seite aus.

«Charakter bewiesen»

Es brauchte dann aber einen Doppelpack von Chihadeh, um die Partie zu wenden. Erst nickte der palästinensische Internationale aus dem Wallis eine Flanke von Pius Dorn ein, danach profitierte er im Anschluss an einen Fehlpass des Kriensers Elis Isufi. Chihadeh liess mit seinem Schuss dem früheren YB-Nachwuchsgoalie Joschua Neuenschwander keine Abwehrchance und bejubelte sein 7. Saisontor.

«Die zwei Tore waren nötig», meinte Chihadeh. Der Stürmer ist mit Kriens nach wie vor eng verbunden und erhielt nach dem Schlusspfiff sogar noch ein Geschenk für seine Tochter. Der 27-Jährige freute sich aber vor allem auch über die drei Punkte. «Dieser Sieg ist nach der Niederlage in Lausanne enorm wichtig für unsere Moral. Froh bin ich auch, dass wir nach dem missglückten Start in die Partie Charakter beweisen konnten.»

Chihadehs Doppelschlag sorgte bei Bernegger für eine Hitzewallung. Der Südamerikaner entledigte sich bei minus 1 Grad Mütze und Jacke und coachte wie auch nach dem Seitenwechsel zwischenzeitlich im Pullover. Restlos zu erwärmen vermochte die Vorstellung seiner Equipe trotz Gerndts 3:1 indes nicht. Der Erfolg über das Schlusslicht muss für die Oberländer als Pflichtsieg eingestuft werden.

«Diese Liga ist unglaublich»

Weil Leader Winterthur gegen Schaffhausen gleich 2:5 unterlag, liegen in der Tabelle fünf Teams innerhalb von nur drei Punkten. Gewinnen am Samstag Aarau und Lausanne-Ouchy wären es sogar deren sieben. «Diese Liga ist unglaublich», staunt auch Chihadeh. Trotz dem Erfolg über Kriens und dem Vorrücken auf Rang 4 will der Walliser indes noch nicht von einer Trendwende für sein Team sprechen: «Mit solchen Aussagen warte ich besser noch.» Der unberechenbare Verlauf in dieser Challenge League gibt ihm recht.
