SUNDOWNS ARE LONG-TERM ADMIRERS OF ORLANDO PIRATES STAR LORCH

Sundowns have been tracking Thembinkosi Lorch’s situation for some time. Now, on deadline day in the January transfer window, they’re ready to make their move. That’s according to iDiski Times. Their sources close to the Buccaneers indicate that Lorch has informed teammates he could move before the window shuts on Friday 26 January. Personal terms are already sorted, but if the clubs can’t agree on a fee, the 30-year-old may have to wait until June to get his move.

MATTHEWS ALSO HEADING TO CHLOORKOP?

Tashreeq Matthews, once of Borussia Dortmund, has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks. One of those was Glasgow Rangers, and local reports even mooted a move to Kaizer Chiefs. However, according to an SABC Sport exclusive, Sundowns are in pole position to sign the tricky 23-year-old. Matthews signed for Dortmund as a teenager and is excelling now with Swedish top-flight side IK Sirius. He finished the most recent campaign with 11 goals and 10 assists from 33 appearances across all competitions, a healthy return for a wide attacker.
