Sundowns disappoint SuperSport boss

This is good news if you love Ricardo Goss and Mamelodi Sundowns. SuperSport United are losing the player.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS TO RECALL RICARDO GOSS

SuperSport signed Goss on a two-year loan deal from Sundowns.

The club known as Matsatsantsa a Pitori are eager to extend the deal, but Kabo Yellow have other ideas.

According to SuperSport’s CEO Stan Matthews, Sundowns want the 29-year-old goalkeeper back by July.

“I’ve tried [to have talks with Sundowns], but they indicated that he has to go back,” Matthews told FARPost.

“So, it’s out of my hands and I must respect what Sundowns want. We signed a two-year deal and I must respect what they want to do.

“If they want to take Ricardo back, then he’s their player and I have to move on and find another option. He’s been a great addition to the team. He’s the reason why we finished in position three last year.

“And I think it’s been great for him to be in the Bafana Bafana mix, competing with Ronwen [Williams] but now he’ll compete with him at club level. And I need to move on,” Matthews added.

The Durban-born star previously played for Golden Arrows, Real Kings and Bidvest Wits.

BRAND NEW SIGNING

In other news, Sundowns can’t stop signing South American gems. Matias Esquive is coming on a big contract.

Sundowns supporters are going to chant a new name from South America.

Matías Esquivel is expected to land in Mzansi very soon.

As previously reported by iDiski Times, Sundowns have signed the 24-year-old Esquivel for 𝗥𝟰𝟲.𝟳𝗺 from Lanús in Argentina.

A new report has claimed that the 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a massive four-and-a-half-year-deal.

“Matías Esquivel has completed his move from Club Lanus to Mamelodi Sundowns on a 4-and-a-half-year deal,” Unplayable reported.

In the meantime, Sundowns are expected to announce Esquivel in due course.
