Chelsea AGREE personal terms with Leicester defender Wesley Fofana as Foxes now prepared to sell for the right price north of £80million... The Blues are also engaged in talks for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol

Chelsea have had two bids of £60 and £65million rejected for Wesley Fofana 21-year-old has five years remaining on his contract at the King Power StadiumFofana has reportedly agreed personal terms for a move to Stamford BridgeThomas Tuchel is also eyeing a move for Croatian centre-back Josko Gvardiol

Chelsea have had two bids of £60m and £65m rejected for centre-back Wesley Fofana. Leicester’s original stance was that the 21 year-old was not for sale.

However, according to reports Fofana has agreed personal terms with for a move to Stamford Bridge, with the clubs’ varying valuations of the player now the only remaining obstacle in completing the deal.

Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers also admitted this week that: ‘Naturally if there is interest from other clubs then of course that is looked at by the club.’

Leicester value Fofana in excess of £80m and, despite their initial hope of hanging on to him for at least one more season, there is a growing sense that they will sell for the right price.

Wesley Fofana has reportedly agreed personal terms ahead of a proposed move to Chelsea

Fofana, who signed a new five-year Leicester deal in March, is keen to make the move to Chelsea and is in line for a significant pay rise to around £200,000-per-week if the two clubs can find a compromise over his transfer fee.

At a press conference on Friday ahead of Chelsea’s game against Tottenham, Thomas Tuchel refused to comment on the possibility of a move for the French starlet but admitted that he is looking to bolster his defensive options before the transfer window ends.

Chelsea are now plotting their next move as they look to further strengthen their central defensive options following the losses of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol is also said to be on Thomas Tuchel's radar

Kalidou Koulibaly has arrived for £34m from Napoli and a new contract for captain Cesar Azpilicueta plus the capture of Marc Cucurella from Brighton for up to £62m have given Tuchel two versatile options who can perform in a back three. But he remains keen to bring in one more out-and-out centre back.

The likes of Nathan Ake, Matthijs de Ligt, Jules Kounde and Presnel Kimpembe have proved out of reach for Chelsea.

Meanwhile Chelsea have also had talks with Josko Gvardiol’s representative Marjan Šišić but RB Leipzig are determined to hang onto the highly-rated Croatian who has also attracted interest this summer from Manchester City and Tottenham.
