Irish cricket’s best and brightest came together for an evening of glitz, glam and gongs at the Business Plus Irish Cricket Awards on Friday.
The 2024 awards were hosted at Clontarf Castle and recognised the strongest emerging talent from the past year, as well as honouring those who have been instrumental in raising the level of the sport in Ireland.

Alan Cantwell and Isobel Joyce took on hosting duties for the night which began with a drinks reception, followed by a sumptuous three-course meal.

There was plenty of laughter and some fond remembrances as the ceremony unfolded; Neil Rock sent the room into chuckles when he joked about looking forward to playing in warmer climes.
Umpire Paul Reynolds who passed in 2023 was remembered with a standing ovation as his father was presented with an award in his memory.

Congrats! Evoke Super Series Player of the Year winner is announced at Irish Cricket Awards
The roll call of awards on the night also saw Amy Hunter named the EVOKE Super Series Player of the Year, having already been awarded an ICC Women’s Player of the Month title.

Among the other big winners on the night was Orla Prendergast who was honoured with the title of International Player of the Year after her first year playing in the Caribbean Premiere League.
The 21-year-old has had a fantastic run over the past 12 months that included the highest scores of 61 batting in T201 cricket and 71 in ODI cricket as well as five wickets at 38.80.

The International Male Player of the Year Award went to Harry Tector while Kyle McCallan was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Maria Van Der Muckhof picked up the award of Activator of the Year after a breakout year in 2023.

Elsewhere, Mary Waldron, Shauna Kavanagh and Rachel Delaney were recognised for their commitment to the sport and the Irish jersey as recent international retirees.
There was no shortage of style on show from the ladies, and not forgetting the men on the night who pulled out all the stops with their outfit choices.

The ceremony carried on with live entertainment to keep the party going until the early hours.
