Kochetkov allowed just 2 goals on 16 shots in a 2-1 setback against the Dallas Stars in his most recent start Saturday at home. He has allowed 3 or fewer goals in each of his past 12 starts dating back to Dec. 23. The 24-year-old Russian tendy has a 1.67 GAA and .941 SV% with 2 SO in 7 February starts, but he is just 4-3-0 thanks to a 17 goals of offensive support.

MINNESOTA (+120) is a good play at home as a moderate underdog, as the Wild just seems to have the Hurricanes’ number in recent seasons.

Not only did Minnesota take care of business in Raleigh in the 1st meeting last month — as mentioned with the 5-2 victory — but the Wild have won the past 2 home games against the Hurricanes, while going 4-1 in the past 5 meetings overall.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Wild +1.5 (-210) will cost just over 2 times your potential return if you prefer the puck line over betting Minnesota straight up, and you would like some insurance instead. That’s too much risk, and not enough reward. If you like the Wild, just bet them straight up.
