Aaron Judge es abucheado luego de poncharse cuatro veces ante Tampa Bay Rays.

El jardinero estrella de New York Yankees, Aaron Judge, ha tenido un inicio poco usual en su corta pero productiva carrera en Grandes Ligas y en referencia a ello este sábado se expresó sobre el bajón ofensivo y dijo que a pesar del mal momento sigue siendo la figura de años anteriores.

En declaraciones al periodista de ESPN, Jorge Castillo, Judge mostró algo de la decepción sobre su rendimiento en el presente curso pero recordó que la razón por es conocido, principalmente su ofensiva, sigue estando ahí a pesar que no haya podido demostrarlo.

“Soy Aaron Judge, creo que eso no ha cambiado. He tenido temporadas en mi carrera en las que he empezado peor que en esta. He tenido temporadas en las que empiezas bien y luego siempre llegas a una mala racha en la que bateas alrededor de .150 en todo un mes”, comentó sobre su bajón con el madero.

No obstante, Judge fue autocrítico y declaró que solo puede salir del mal momento a punta de trabajo, en pro de ayudar a los Yankees a mantener su mejor arranque de temporada en años.

“Tengo que seguir trabajando, seguir mejorando y saldré de esto”, añadió el autor de 62 jonrones en 2022.

Hasta este sábado, donde los Yankees vencieron 15-3 a Milwaukee Brewers y que se vio un pequeño despertar de Judge, que se fue de 4-2 con jonrón, dos impulsadas y dos anotadas, ligaba para .178 con seis dobles y cuatro cuadrangulares.

Antes de cerrar la entrevista Judge se refirió a los abucheos que ha recibido por parte de fanáticos en el Yankee Stadium ante su fallo constante en el plato.

“He escuchado peores abucheos. Probablemente, yo haría lo mismo. Cuando tengo mi lanzamiento, simplemente lo fallo. Tenemos que seguir buscando buenos turnos al bate, tomar boletos cuando pueda y seguir siendo agresivos. Esa es la única manera de salir y dar algunos hits, especialmente con nuestra alineación. Es que simplemente debo seguir haciendo swing”, cerró.
