Sept. 21 

Preschool Story Time: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Community Library. Preschoolers are invited for stories, finger plays, poems and songs. To register:

Lake Travis Knitters: 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Community Library. All experience levels are welcome to bring their own knitting project to receive tips and guidance from club members. To register:

Sept. 22 

Tech Coach Q&A: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Community Library. People can join to have a library staff member help with virtual meetings, résumé formatting, emailing and using digital services like Libby. To register:

LTCC Lunch – State of the District: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Flintrock Falls Club House, 401 Jack Nicklaus Drive, Austin. The presentation will be from Lake Travis school district Superintendent Paul Norton. Cost: $30-$35. For information:

Sept. 23 

Family Story Time: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Community Library. All ages are invited for a story time and show and tell. To register:

Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis: noon at the Flintrock Falls Clubhouse, 501 Golden Bear Drive. The club meets each Thursday except for the first of the month. For information:

Dinosaur George — Prehistoric Mammals: 4 to 4:45 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Community Library. Participants will learn about giant elephants, saber-toothed cats, huge bears and monster dogs. To register:

Sept. 24 

Heritage Trail Tour: 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. The bus tours begin at the Liebelt Cabin next to City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road, Lakeway, and then visit several historical locations throughout Lakeway. A member of the Heritage Committee is also present on the bus tours to give insight into each location. BYOB Book Talk: 2 to 2:45 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Community Library. Participants can join for a casual group chat about what they are currently reading or want to read or their favorite books. To register:

Sept. 25 

Defensive Driving: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. Six-hour driving safety course. Cost: $45, members; $50, nonmembers. To register: 

Sept. 26 

Sunday Concert Series: Balcones Orchestra: 4 to 5 p.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This all-volunteer group, under the direction of Robert Radmer, orchestra director at St. Edwards University, presents free concerts in venues that approximate the conditions under which these works were first performed and heard. Sept. 27 

Aging Well Health & Job Fair: 9 a.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. The event will feature expert and professional speakers, a complimentary lunch, complimentary goody bags and door prizes. Free. To register and for details:

Webinar: AdGiants: 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom, hosted by the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. David Farmer of AdGiants will present. Free. To register:

Therapeutic Yoga/Thai Chi: pavilion at Lakeway City Park, 502 Hurst Creek. Offered by the Lakeway Activity Center. To register:

Tuesdays, Thursdays in September 

Yoga for Wellbeing: 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This program helps students of all ages explore how to unwind painful patterns, correct physical tightness or weakness, melt the grip of stress and generally improve functionality in daily life with minimal transitions to and from the floor. Wednesdays through Sept. 29 

Chair Yoga with Monika: 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. Chair yoga helps provide a full vertebral workout from a chair. It is recommended for folks recovering from injuries or who may have difficulty getting up and down off the floor. To register: 

Self Defense Training & Conditioning: 6 to 7 p.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. Cost: $115, members; $125, nonmembers. To register:

Saturdays, Sundays through Oct. 3 

Pickleball: 8 to 8:50 a.m. and 9 to 9:50 a.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. Cost: $75, members; $80, nonmembers. To register:

Beginner-New Pickleball: 8 to 8:50 a.m. and 9 to 9:50 a.m. at the courts at 280 Sailmaster St., Lakeway. Pickleball gear is available to use, but people are encouraged to bring their own. To register:

Fencing for ages 8 to adult: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. This program will train skills in attacking and defending, footwork, blade work, agility, balance, strategy, sportsmanship and the rules of the game. Cost: $180, members; $200, nonmembers. To register:
