Caitlin Clark Gives Honest Review Of Angel Reese Ahead Of WNBA Season
The Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese rivalry goes back to their high school and AAU days. They most notably met in both the previous two NCAA tournaments, with Reese taking the first matchup in the 2023 NCAA Championship and Clark taking the most recent match in the 2024 Elite Eight.
Now both have taken their talents to the WNBA, with Clark being selected first overall to the Indiana Fever and Reese being picked seventh overall to the Chicago Sky.
Early Thursday afternoon, Clark spoke about Reese and their matchup in the AAU Championship. Clark recalled what stood out from Reese’s game back then and if it still reigns true today.

“The thing that really stands out is the offensive rebounds,” Clark said of Reese, “She did the exact same thing that she did to us when we were in college too. She was just such a great offensive rebounder.”
Reese recorded six offensive rebounds in the 2023 championship and 10 in their 2024 Elite 8 matchup.
Clark continued, “But yeah, that’s the thing I remember. The offensive rebounding, she’s always just had a knack for that and it’s not always something you can teach. I think she just has a really good eye for the ball off the rim and can go get it, is aggressive, wants it. That’s just something she’s always had in her game.”

Clark and Reese will face off for the first time in the WNBA on June 1st as the Fever host the Sky.
