Cabin prices rose by 15.6% in the first half of the year, while sales volume fell sharply and are now back at pre-pandemic levels, Eiendom Norge reported on Tuesday.
The typical holiday home in Norway now costs NOK 3,352,105, the price statistics from Eiendom Norge show.
So far, in 2022, 2,747 cabins have been sold in Norway – a decrease of 32% compared to the first half of 2021. The rise in prices has been particularly large for cabins by the sea.
Measured as average prices, cabin prices have risen sharply so far this year, and both inland cabins, mountain cabins, and cabins by the sea have markedly increased in price. Cabins by the sea had a particularly large growth with an increase of as much as 19%, CEO of Eiendom Norge Henning Lauridsen stated.
According to him, the price increases so far in 2022 will exceed the record-breaking year of 2021.
