Subway Is Releasing a 'Sidekick' Bag Capable of Storing 3 Footlongs at Once — Here's How to Win One

Do you absolutely love Subway Footlongs? I don’t mean it in a “sure, I could eat one” kind of love. I mean, you want to protect your Footlong at all costs while transporting it from Subway to your home and want to keep leftovers handy at all hours of the day, kind of love. If so, Subway has a new bag for you.

On Wednesday, Subway announced it’s giving away 100, limited-edition Sidekick Safes, which resemble a blueprint tube, to help the ultimate footlong fans keep their favorite footlongs safe. And this goes far beyond sandwiches.

In January, Subway unveiled its line of Sidekicks, a collection of three unique sweet snacks that are meant to pair perfectly with sandwiches.

“Subway’s culinary team spent a year perfecting the recipe for its Footlong Cookie – thick, gooey, and packed with chocolate chips,” the company shared on its site. “Subway also joined forces with Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s to create a crave-worthy new twist on their classic snacks with the Footlong Churro and the Footlong Pretzel.” Subway noted in a press release that fans have “devoured over 9 million” Sidekicks to date. So, yes, you love them, and yes, the bag can indeed protect sandwiches, cookies, pretzels, and churros.

To get your hands on a bag, you just need to go to SubwaySidekickSafe.com between February 29 and March 2. There, you’ll be asked to upload an image of yourself enjoying your favorite Footlong Sidekick and will be entered to win from there. The winners will be randomly selected.

As for the bag itself, Subway says it “commissioned a team of engineers” to ensure it can withstand the elements. Each bag is handcrafted and sports the famed Subway green color and logo, measures 39 inches long, and includes three separate insulated footlong-sized storage units, so you have more than enough room for Sidekicks and sandwiches to last you an entire day. It also comes with a keypad lock and a carrying strap so you can both easily transport your sammies and rest assured that your roommates, coworkers, and especially your spouse, can’t get their hands on your tasty treats.
