Britain's Got Talent winner claims 'it's not my fault' as he responds to brutal booing

The Britain’s Got Talent winner Viggo Venn joined ITV talk show host Lorraine on Wednesday morning to open up about life after his big win.

During the final, the audience was heard booing after Viggo was announced as the winner by presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Praising his act and how much fun he had on the show, Lorraine said: “You are good and you are the winner!”

Shaking his head in his hands, Viggo expressed: “It is not my fault that I won, it is the British public.”

Lorraine agreed and continued: “It is fantastic! But you know what Viggo we need fun, and you are very silly.”

Viggo went on to admit: “I was kinda hoping I didn’t win because it would be so embarrassing.

“But I was very happy when they said it, the British public have such a sense of ridiculous humour.”

During the interview, Viggo jumped up from his seat and told Lorraine that he was hungry before trying to eat fake fruit.

Viewers of the show quickly took to their Twitter accounts to express their love for Viggo and his whacky personality.

Louise Smith expressed: “That made my morning of waking up. So funny Viggo Venn #lorraine #itv.”

@lifes_a_gem_x teased: “Viggo has the energy of a Duracell bunny! #lorraine.”

@IreneBognanni05 commented: “Viggo Venn is just from another world #lorraine #BGT.”

@EmilyMulti added: “She is really struggling with this interview isn’t she? #lorraine.”

@Itt39354118 claimed: “He has me creased he’s so friggin funny #lorraine.” (sic)

Viggo also recently joined Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on their Heart Breakfast show where he claimed he was adamant he wasn’t going to win.

“I should never have done that so no, I expected to not win Britain’s Got Talent.”

Speaking to Ant and Dec after his win, he said: “I feel extremely visible right now. Thank you so much!”

Ant asked: “What would you like to say, you have clearly captured the heart of Britain, loads of people have voted for you.”

Viggo added: “Not just the heart of Britain but the heart of Simon, but yeah thank you so much for everyone who voted for me… you want more?”
