Britain reports 50,091 new COVID-19 cases, highest in a month

LONDON – Britain reported 50,091 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, the highest since October 21, government statistics showed, adding there had been a further 160 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
