Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson is having himself a year.
After winning a World Series ring last month, Swanson purchased a special diamond to propose to girlfriend Mallory Pugh on Thursday.
He got down on one knee in the doorway of a decorated home, where Pugh — a USWNT player, who won a FIFA World Cup title in 2019 — was met with a massive balloon arch.
The MLB star and soccer sensation shared the news in separate Instagram posts.
“Mr. and Mrs. Swanson coming soon,” he captioned a photo that showed him proposing to Pugh. “I LOVE YOU DANSBY,” she wrote in the comments.

The pair has been dating since late 2017, and were introduced by Jace Peterson, Swanson’s former Braves teammate (now Brewers second baseman). Peterson is married to Pugh’s sister, Brianna.
