Boys Lacrosse: Shane Knobloch named First Team All-American

Rutgers midfielder Shane Knobloch has been named First Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine.
The publication revealed it’s list on Thursday morning. Knobloch was pegged as one of the three best at his position in the nation. This is his highest accolade received during his career at Rutgers.
Knobloch has been named to an All-American team in each of his years at Rutgers, making him just the second four-time All-American in program history. He now joins Tom Sweeney, who earned these honors from 1977-80. Last season, Knobloch was named Second Team All-American.
This season, Knobloch has played in and started all 14 games for the Scarlet Knights. He leads the team in goals with 29 and is second in points with 40. During his career, Knobloch has played 60 games and scored 98 goals with 49 assists. This adds up to be 147 total points.
Knobloch was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2021. The product of Moorestown, NJ is a three-time All-Big Ten selection.
