Xbox Game Pass Core is Adding 3 New Games
- Xbox Game Pass Core to add three new games on April 23, including Superhot: Mind Control Delete and Deep Rock Galactic.
- Game Pass Core focuses on Xbox first-party titles, with indie gems like Celeste and Dead Cells also included in the lineup.
- Core members may see larger third-party games added in the future, while anticipating new game additions every couple of months.
Three new games will join the Xbox Game Pass Core lineup next week on April 23. Just last year, Xbox seamlessly transformed its longstanding Xbox Live Gold membership into Xbox Game Pass Core, giving Gold members a new library of 25 games to download at no additional cost, with the promise of more being added to the library over time.
Many of the big titles included in Game Pass Core are Xbox’s own first-party games. Titles like Gears 5, Halo 5: Guardians, State of Decay 2, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and Forza Horizon 4 populate the list, with several high-profile Bethesda titles included as well, like Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, and Doom Eternal. The lineup also offers a number of critically acclaimed indie titles, like Firewatch, Dead Cells, Inside, Celeste, and more. Most recently, Chivalry and Totally Reliable Delivery Service joined Core back in December.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete was first released in 2020 and offers more of the time-bending first-person action its predecessor was known for. Both games are considered must-play for fans of first-person shooters. Unique for encouraging players to smash their cars to smithereens, Wreckfest offers brutal racing game modes that satisfy fans of destructive driving. Finally, Deep Rock Galactic is known for having a notoriously challenging Achievement list, taking some players upwards of 400 hours to complete.
It seems that Game Pass Core still offers many smaller titles, as its big AAA games are almost all Xbox first-party. With the big splashes seemingly reserved for the console, PC, and Ultimate tiers of the service, it’ll be interesting to see if Core members will begin to see larger third-party games land on the lineup at some point in the future.
Since new games are added to Game Pass Core every couple of months, Core subscribers may be able to look forward to the next batch of additions, perhaps sometime over the summer. Now that Game Pass’ plans for the remainder of April are laid out, which include Ocs Must Die 3 and EA Sports NHL 24 added to the cloud, console, and PC tiers, Game Pass subscribers should begin to learn about what’s in store for next month, as Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is set to lead the way.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the highest tier of Microsoft’s flagship game subscription service that offers over 100 game titles that you can play with a single purchase, making it one of the most outstanding value propositions of the Xbox ecosystem to date.
