After the success of his first online art auction for charity three months ago, Bill Bensley is once again presenting his artwork to raise funds for Covid relief in Thailand.
A collaboration with River City Bangkok, the auction is titled “Explorations In The Time Of Covid” and features 11 paintings by the self-taught artist who is also an internationally acclaimed architect.
It is now open for bids on rcbauctions.com and invaluable.com until 6pm on Oct 9 (Bangkok time). Alternatively, the auction is available through the RCB Auctions app, which can be downloaded via the App Store and Google Play.
As a long-term resident in Thailand, Bensley would like to give back to Thais whom he said have given him so much and taken care of him and his family, especially during the pandemic.
“It is only right that I do my small part to help what is, in my eyes, the most caring and loving people of the world,” he said.

The paintings in the series are acrylic on canvas as well as Burmese powder. They are divided into two themes. “Pestilence” reflects Bensley’s many musings on coronavirus and how it has shaped the world since 2020.
The second theme is “Dreams”, which is a wander into Bensley’s mind during these strange times, a medley of his travels through Thailand in December last year and the thoughts that come to him in his dreams. The series also delves into more unusual elements, sometimes humorous, sometimes simply admiring the world around him.
Proceeds from sales of the paintings will go to support the treatment of patients infected with Covid-19 and the provision of medical supplies and equipment for King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and the Thai Red Cross Society.
