Big Ten College Football Program Getting Roasted For Pathetic Bowl Game Performance

It’s no secret the Iowa Hawkeyes had a rocky season this year. They lost their starting quarterback, top two tight ends, and top playmaker Cooper DeJean to injury, but still made the Big Ten Championship game representing the West.
It always seemed like Iowa had a fighting chance no matter who they played, that is until they matched up with any ranked team. They were outscored 57-0 combined against their two ranked opponents this season in Michigan and Penn State.
That trend continued in the Cheez-it Citrus Bowl against No. 21 Tennessee. The internet is letting the Hawkeye program after getting shut out 35-0.
In fact, when it comes to scoring on ranked teams, the drought goes back much further than their last two contests.
The Brian Ferentz era is finally over in Iowa City, even though he dropped some jaw-dropping stats like this one.
We might not see a Big Ten offense this anemic for a while. One fan is savoring the final cringeworthy drive log of the season from the Hawkeyes.
To put their offensive struggles in perspective, not only are they the only team with more punting yards than offensive yards on the season, but they’ve out-punted their offense by more than 1,000 yards.
Now the wait is on to see who Iowa will bring on board to take over the Iowa offense.
