A Vande Bharat loco-pilot couldn’t hold back his tears as friends and family members commemorated his retirement with a grand celebration at Bengaluru City Railway Station. Video creator RF Pavan posted short clips of Kishan Lal’s retirement celebration on Instagram that soon went viral.

Kishan Lal, who served as a loco-pilot for 34 years, retired in March. For the celebration, his friends and family members welcomed Kishan Lal with flower garlands and gifts as the train operated by him arrived at the Bengaluru station from Chennai.

In what was rather an emotional moment for Kishan Lal, he cried happy tears and made the most of the day with his circuit. With dance, music, loads of fun and happy tears, Kishan Lal’s retirement celebration was nothing but memorable.

“Happy retired life Kishan Lal sir LP/MAIL/SBC. Thank you for your wonderful service in Indian Railways Sir, we are proud of you, may you have the best retired life, you are one of the best loco-pilot in Bengaluru sir, we will miss you on tracks. All the best sir. Kishan sir worked on 20608/20607 from SBC-MAS-SBC Vande Bharat Express for the last time,” reads the caption of the post.

Social media users sent good wishes to Kishan Lal in the comments section of the posts. “Happy retirement life Kishan Lal sir,” several users said. “Nice video. I travelled with him from Chennai to Bengaluru.”

“But, finally, he failed to hide his emotions and broke into tears while entering the loco lobby.”
