Belarus: Nato-land har angrebet Minsk

Belarus’ sikkerhedstjeneste oplyser, at det har afværget et angreb på hovedstaden Minsk med droner affyret fra Nato-landet Litauen, skriver det russiske nyhedsbureau Tass.

Litauens hær afviser ifølge Reuters påstanden om, at det har sendt droner mod Minsk.

Tilsyneladende har Tass i mellemtiden fjernet det, som i mediesprog kaldes en flash – en nyhedsalarm om det hævdede droneangreb på Minsk. Uden at Tass melder, om historien dermed er annulleret.

Men det russiske nyhedsbureau Ria citerer ifølge Reuters den belarusiske sikkerhedschef, Ivan Tertel, for at sige:

– Statssikkerhedskomiteen har i samarbejde med andre ordenshåndhævere for nylig gennemført en række akutte sikkerhedsindgreb, som gjorde det muligt at forhindre et anslag med angrebsdroner fra Litauens landområde rettet mod Minsk og dets forstæder.

Der er ikke oplyst noget tidspunkt.

Belarus er det land, som tidligere i mange år på dansk blev kaldet Hviderusland.

Den belarusiske præsident, Aleksandr Lukasjenko, hævder ifølge Ria, at oppositionen i landet har planer om at indtage et område i den vestlige del af landet for derefter at “appellere til Nato” om at indsætte styrker.

Det drejer sig om distriktet Kobrin.

Han fortæller ifølge Tass i en tale til folkekongressen i Belarus, at “adskillige snese” russiske taktiske atomvåben er blevet opstillet i Belarus. Det er sket som led i en aftale, han indgik med Ruslands præsident, Vladimir Putin, sidste år.

Belarus bekræftede i juni sidste år, at de første atomvåben fra Rusland var ved at blive opstillet.

Lukasjenko siger samtidig – til trods for de alarmerende meldinger – at han ikke har planer om at beordre mobilisering.

Belarus er Ruslands allierede. Lukasjenkos regime tillod i februar 2022 Rusland at bruge Belarus som springbræt til invasionen i Ukraine.
