Midtown affordable housing development offers $934 for studio apartments
MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – Applications opened for 84 affordable housing units in Midtown, ranging from just $934 to a whopping $3,813 per month.
The development on 43rd Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues offers studios, one- and two-bedroom units that require solo residents to make anywhere between $32,023 and $108,960 per year to apply.

On the lower end, studio apartments are available for $934 per month, and one-bedrooms are listed at just over $1,000 per month. On the upper end, two-bedroom apartments will rent for as much as $3,813 per month.
Rentals will include in-unit dishwashers, washers and dryers, and air-conditioning, with some including patios and balconies, according to the NYC Housing Connect listing.
With the varying prices come a slew of amenities that could mean extra charges, including an on-site gym, pool, yoga and dance studio, and rooftop terrace.
NYC affordable housing lottery open for over 30 buildings
Construction on the 33-story project was expected to be complete in mid-2024 – three years after it began, according to the developers. The property’s “luxury” residential units will sit on top of retail space, according to developers.
Renderings of the project show a glass front with brown and gold detailing, and unit mock-ups show a modern aesthetic with marble and wood accents.
