National Lottery sign
The search is on for Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire who won the Lotto jackpot on Saturday night.
The stand to take home an eye-watering prize of €8,970,934 after correctly matching all six numbers plus the bonus. These were 01, 09, 10, 14, 26, 40 and bonus 04.
It marks the third jackpot scoop of this year, following wins by players in Dublin and Louth.
National Lottery bosses have issued an appeal for players to check their numbers carefully. As part of the appeal, they have revealed where the golden ticket was purchased.
It’s been confirmed that the life-changing ticket was bought in Co Limerick. The exact store location will be announced next week.
A spokeswoman said: “Well it’s certainly been a life-changing weekend for a Lotto player in Limerick. While Saturday’s draw saw over 100,000 players win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, there is one ticketholder waking up today as Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire after scooping the massive €8,970,934 jackpot in Saturday night’s draw. The Limerick player has taken the title of 3rd Lotto jackpot winner of 2024 following wins by players in Dublin and Louth earlier in the year.
“Our advice to anyone who may have purchased their ticket for last night’s draw in the Limerick area is to carefully check those tickets today as someone now has a ticket worth over €8.9 million. This is a huge amount to come into overnight and the winner is sure to be in a bit of shock initially. The newest National Lottery millionaire is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.”
The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to claim their life-changing prize.
