England thrashed Wales during Tuesday’s World Cup clash after the team scored three goals, however, some viewers were left distracted by the BBC’s pundits during the match.
Gary Linekar hosted the live coverage as the former footballer was joined by Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand, Ian Rush, and former Wales player Danny Gabbidon. The four men discussed England’s win over Wales as the squad heads to the final 16 and will play Senegal on Sunday.
Viewers of BBC One’s live coverage were left stumped at how much pundit Danny Gabbidon sounds like TV chef Tom Kerridge when he speaks and took to social media to compare the voices of the two men.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Every time I hear Danny Gabbidon on the coms his voice Propa reminds me of Tom Kerridge”.
A second added: “England and Wales fans getting a taste of what it’s like to watch Championship football on tv and trying to work out why Tom Kerridge is on co-commentary”.
A third confessed: “Everyone thinking about the football in this game and I’ve spent 50 minutes thinking that one of the commentators sounds EXACTLY like Tom Kerridge”.
“Blimey, anyone else noticed that one of the #BBCWorldCup commentary team sounds just like Tom Kerridge? I’m now imagining them nibbling some fancy snacks he’s knocked up before the match as they yak away. #ENGWAL #WALENG”, added another.
