Kaizer Chiefs bosses change minds on coach

The way Cavin Johnson has worked, Kaizer Chiefs might abandon the plan to find a new coach.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO KEEP CAVIN JOHNSON UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Amakhosi parted ways with Molefi Ntseki in October. The club’s chairman, Kaizer Motaung, later confirmed the search for a new coach.

In the meantime, the interim coach, Johnson, delivered four wins, one loss and two draws in seven games.

According to the Citizen, the results have reportedly encouraged his boss to keep him until the end of the season.

“With the way things have gone towards the end of last year, I don’t see coach Cavin going back to being the head of the academy. He has managed to bring back the smile to the management and most importantly the supporters,” said an unnamed source to the outlet.

“Even though the search for the new coach continues, the Chiefs bosses believe coach Cavin is the right man for the job. It’s still early days, but the signs are there.

“They believe he is the perfect person to bring back the club to where it’s supposed to be.

“I think what makes them believe in him is that he has been in football for a long time and knows exactly what’s lacking at the club and what is required to make things right,” the source concluded.

MOLEFI NTSEKI TO RETURN TO THE NATIONAL TEAM?

In related news, Chiefs’ former coach Ntseki could be back to coaching soon.

Molefi Ntseki is set to finally move on from his Kaizer Chiefs ill-fated tenure. A new international job is reportedly within his grasp.

As reported back in October, Ntseki was released from Amakhosi.

The decision was taken after he managed three wins, four draws and six defeats in 13 games.

According to new reports, the Bloemfontein-born Ntseki is being considered for assist coach at Bafana Bafana or the South African U23’s coach role. – READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
