Bambie Thug admitted to hospital after eating 'some bad shellfish'
Bambie Thug was admitted to the hospital on Friday night after eating “bad shellfish”, missing out on a meet and greet planned for Saturday.
Ireland’s Eurovision hopeful took to social media to share with their followers that they were placed on an IV drip following their hospital admission after eating the bad food, now spending a day recovering.
Unfortunately, Bambie was forced to cancel a performance that was planned with WiwiBloggs, an independent Eurovision site, but is resting up so they can “smash” their performances next week.
Bambie Thug, who is set to perform in the first of the Eurovision semi-finals on Tuesday with their electro-metal tune Doomsday Blue, said they are “rats” their costume won’t be taken out “for a ride” but promised to “make it up” to their fans.
They wrote in a story on Instagram: “Hey guys, really sorry but I have to cancel my meet and greet and performance today with WiwiBloggs I had to go to hospital late last night and be put on a drip because I ate some bad shellfish.
“I need to take the day to try and recover so I can smash my performances next week. I’m rats my costume won’t be taken out for a ride. But I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
Yesterday, Bambie Thug announced on X that they were “logging off this cesspit for a while”
Ahead of their performance, Bambie Eurovision following previous Irish Eurovision entrants failing to make the final in the last four attempts.
Ireland and Sweden are level for the most wins in the contest’s history, at seven each, ahead of it being held in Malmo.
It comes as protesters gathered outside RTÉ to call on the national broadcaster to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest.
