The number of corona patients at Bærum Hospital has risen from three to seven in the last 24 hours. That is the highest number of corona patients at the hospital since May 31.
In four days, the number of corona patients at the hospital has increased from zero to seven inpatients, the newspaper Budstikka writes.
“Three of the seven are admitted to the intensive care unit, so they are very ill,” clinic director Trine Olsen at the hospital noted.
Out of the seven inpatients, only one patient has been vaccinated with the first dose, while the other six are unvaccinated. Two of the patients are over 70 years old, while the rest are in their early 50s and younger.
On a national basis, there were 32 corona-infected patients admitted to hospitals on Thursday, an increase of four patients from the previous day.
Five of the patients are on respirators, and twelve are in the intensive care unit.
