West Bromwich Albion attacker Robert Snodgrass starred in U23s’ 3-2 win against Burnley U23s yesterday, which has caused a stir among Baggies fans.
The 33-year-old was signed by Sam Allardyce back in January but is yet to feature under new boss Valerien Ismael due to injury issues.
Snodgrass had back surgery at the end of the 2020/21 campaign but now seems to be well on his way back to full fitness.
The Scotsman featured for the U23s yesterday and played a starring role, scoring twice and providing an assist as they beat Burnley U23s.
The winger has a huge amount of experience at this level, having made 144 appearances in the Championship and helped both Aston Villa and Hull City win promotion.
That could make him a huge asset for Ismael this term, with the French coach hoping to take the Baggies back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
The Albion boss has hinted he’s been impressed by Snodgrass since taking charge at the Hawthorns while the Scotland international’s recent display has certainly caught the attention of fans of the West Midlands club.
Many supporters have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts after his performance for the U23s…
Quality performance tonight Snodders. Great to see you back on the pitch as well 💙
