In a document sent to the Ministry of Planning and Investment recently, the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province said that there are 5 golf course projects in the province, two of which are already in operation; two projects are under construction, site clearance compensation and a slow implementation project.

Specifically, the golf course project at Vung Tau Paradise golf resort is invested by a joint venture between Vung Tau International Travel Company and Paradise Development and Investment Company (Taiwan).

According to the investment license granted at the end of April 1991, the project has a size of 220 hectares and a total investment of 97.2 million USD.

The project includes 1,500 international standard three-star hotel rooms and many associated service works, including a 27-hole golf course built on an area of ​​130 hectares.

This project has expired from June 7, 2018 and the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province is waiting for comments from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Planning and Investment on the project handling plan.

At Ho Tram project invested by Ho Tram Project Company Limited with 100% Canadian capital, 18-hole golf course with investment capital of 410 billion VND has been completed and put into use since February 2014.

In addition to golf courses, this project also has 9,000 rooms, entertainment facilities, entertainment areas for foreigners … The total area of ​​the project is about 164 hectares and total investment 4, 23 billion USD.

Currently, the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province urges the investor to implement the project on schedule as committed in the adjusted investment registration certificate dated June 5, 2020.

For two golf course projects that are in the process of site clearance, the Huong Sen golf and service project has completed the investment preparation procedures and the investor is carrying out land procedures.

This project is invested by Huong Sen JSC, including 18-hole golf course and resort and entertainment services. The whole project has an area of ​​88 hectares and a total investment of VND 1,051 billion.

As committed by the investor, the project will be started in the third quarter of 2021 and completed in the first quarter of 2023.

There are two 18-hole golf courses with a scale of 152 hectares in Chau Duc urban area, invested by Sonadezi Chau Duc Joint Stock Company, and basically completed compensation and ground clearance on an area of ​​149 hectares.

Chau Duc urban area has an area of ​​650 ha and a total investment of 1,237 billion VND. The project includes the following items: Resettlement area, commercial area, residential area, Suoi Nghe tourist park and two golf courses.

Particularly, the golf course project at the Saigon Atlantis Hotel multi-purpose resort, invested by Winvest Investment Vietnam Co., Ltd. (100% US investment) is slow to be implemented and the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province are reviewing relevant legal procedures to consider and handle.

The project was licensed for the first time in 2006. Under the license changed in 2009, the project has a scale of 307 hectares of land and 610 hectares of sea surface, a golf course of 51 hectares and total investment capital. 4.1 billion USD.

The investor has done topographical and geological survey; have environmental impact reports; 1/500 planning; compensate for 225 ha area and sign land lease contract for 86.9 ha.

In the period 2008 – 2010, Winvest Investment Vietnam has advanced 98 billion dong of land rental and has a petition to determine financial obligations regarding land rental at the time of advance rent.

The People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province said that the Ministry of Finance has given guidance, but so far the investor has not fully contributed the posted charter capital and has not fulfilled financial obligations on land rent.

According to the list of golf course projects expected to develop until 2020, in addition to the above 5 projects, the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province has terminated two projects at Loc An Tourist Complex and the Center project. sport Vietsovpetro in Xuyen Moc district.

Currently, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province is implementing the provincial planning for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050. Accordingly, the province intends to keep the planning of 6 golf course development areas, including: Paradise area and land for the project of Saigon Atlantis Hotel (Vung Tau City); Chau Duc urban area (Chau Duc district); Huong Sen golf course and services (Dat Do district); project of Ho Tram and a sports center (Xuyen Moc district).
