Perhaps no topic weighed heavier around the Cincinnati Bengals at the scouting combine interview session on Tuesday than the injury status of star quarterback Joe Burrow.
Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin fielded the predictable question and clarified that things remain on the expected path.
Tobin’s notable comment on the topic, via WLWT’s Olivia Ray: “He’s Joe. So, you know that he’s 100% focused on that…all reports that we’ve gotten have been very positive. We expect a full recovery and for him to continue being Joe.”
Burrow underwent surgery in December and then commented in early January on when he might be able to start throwing again.
The initial timeline — and injury specifics — were detailed in a report around the time of the operation.
In other words, little to no news continues to be good news on the Burrow front, especially paired with the quarterback’s recent appearances in public.
