Australian women ‘expected more’ from PM after domestic violence rally
Sky News host Laura Jayes says women “expected more” from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese following the domestic violence rally in Canberra.
Mr Albanese found himself in hot water after claiming he had requested to speak at the event but was subsequently denied, to which Williams said that was a “full-out lie” before bursting into tears.

Williams took to social media that same day and said Mr Albanese was “abusing his power” by “aggressively stating” he was the prime minister, demonstrating his “entitlement” to speak at the rally.
“It just speaks to a tone deafness from Anthony Albanese,” Ms Jayes said.
“After Scott Morrison, I think women expected more from him and they don’t feel like they got that on the weekend.”
