Australia needs to build a ‘true digital identity’
Former New South Wales Digital Minister Victor Dominello says pubs and clubs only need to know if someone is “real” and “above the age of 18”.
There are growing concerns about how the specialist information taken as part of the NSW pubs and club data breach may be misused.
17 venues around the state are believed to have been impacted by the breach.
Mr Dominello told Sky News Australia that all the information needed to enter a venue can be disclosed “without disclosing” personal information.
