The Valentine’s Day mystery of Paul in Phibsborough has been solved following the cheating rumours on the most romantic day of the year.
A large poster popped up near the D7 Barbers on the north side yesterday morning, February 14th. It read: “Paul. Tell your wife about us or I will! Happy Valentine’s baby. PS: I’m pregnant.”
The poster is then signed off with a love heart and the initial T which sent Dubliners on social media into a frenzy on the day of love, trying to figure out who was behind the sign.
One said: “There are going to be some Pauls in and around Phibsborough that’ll have some explaining to do tonight.” Another added: “Poor Paul, I wouldn’t like to be in his shoes.”
A third posted: “In all honesty, the only victim here is the unborn child. Imagine being in the middle of that.”
Even Dublin airport joked about the viral sign on X.
But a source told the Irish Independent that “it’s not real,” and that “someone from the area pulls something like this every year”.
They added that they think it’s someone in TU Dublin.
A previous year, they put up a poster on Des Kelly Interiors saying: “The cute girl who works over there says she’ll go out with me if I get 500 beeps. Please honk if you’re a horney hunk.”
