Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone has slammed NSW Premier Chris Minns’ “terrible planning” when it comes to housing in the state.
“All councils already have plans for housing – we have plenty of housing for people to actually come and live in, to develop and to knock over and to build more homes,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“What the Premier’s failing to tell people is that they’ve tripled migration with 500,000 coming into the country – that means that everyone has to squeeze in because, quite simply, people can’t afford to buy a new home.”

Mr Carbone described the Premier’s housing plan as “third-world planning in the first world” which is “just terrible”.
“The worst thing about it is he’s accusing councils,” he said.
