Atlet negara semarak Hari Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur: Pelbagai cara dilakukan atlet dan bekas atlet negara sempena sambutan Hari Malaysia hari ini dalam laman media sosial milik mereka.

Ada yang menyambutnya dengan makanan negeri masing-masing, ada yang mengucapkan ‘Selamat Hari Malaysia’ dari kejauhan manakala kebanyakannya memuat naik status ucapan ringkas beserta gambar masing-masing terutama ketika bertanding pada kejohanan antarabangsa termasuk Sukan Olimpik dan Paralimpik Tokyo 2020 baru-baru ini.

Bagi penerjun negara Pandelela Rinong, dia menyambut Hari Malaysia dengan memesan makanan Sarawak dari @kedeykamek. Dia memuat naik gambar makanan yang menyelerakan termasuk ketam dan laksa Sarawak.

“Sarawakian at heart. What better way to celebrate Malaysia Day than by having my hometown meal in just a few clicks. (Sarawak tetap di hati. Cara terbaik untuk menyambut Hari Malaysia dengan menikmati makanan kampung halaman saya dengan hanya beberapa klik),” tulis penerjun berusia 28 tahun itu yang mengumpul dua pingat Olimpik, perak di Rio 2016 dan gangsa di London 2012.

Bagi pemenang pingat emas perseorangan lelaki SU5 Paralimpik, Cheah Liek Hou, dia memuat naik gambar ketika upacara penutup di Tokyo dengan memakai jersi Malaysia sambil megah memegang bendera Jalur Gemilang.

“Malaysiaku berdaulat, tanah tumpahnya darahku. Selamat Hari Malaysia,” tulisnya ringkas. Liek Hou dan jurulatihnya Rashid Sidek yang masih menjalani kuarantin di Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan Paralimpik Malaysia di Kampung Pandan turut dilihat mengambil kesempatan itu untuk terus menjalani ‘sparring’ bersama-sama sebagai persediaan menghadapi kejohanan antarabangsa selepas ini.

Ucapan Selamat Hari Malaysia turut diluahkan atlet tower running negara, Soh Wai Ching yang kini berada jauh di Istanbul, Turki selepas beraksi dalam pertandingan separuh maraton Great North Run di Britain.

“Nama saya Wai Ching. Saya ingin mengucapkan Selamat Hari Malaysia,” katanya dalam klip video pendek di Instagram @teammsia.

Jaguh berbasikal trek negara Datuk Azizulhasni Awang turut mengambil kesempatan mengucapkan ‘Selamat Hari Malaysia’ kepada peminat dan pengikutnya di laman sosial.

“Sokongan rakyat Malaysia yang berbilang bangsa adalah bukti perpaduan kita. Selamat Menyambut Hari Malaysia 2021 daripada saya dan CIMB,” katanya.

Bagi bekas pemain boling kebangsaan, Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi yang merekacipta jersi khas sempena Hari Malaysia, beliau menggayakan dua jersi itu bersama ibunya, Roziah Zahari.
