Vivo V30e launching on May 2: India price, specs, and everything we may already know
Vivo has confirmed that it is launching another smartphone in India next month. Just last week, the company launched the budget Vivo T3X smartphone in the Indian market. The upcoming smartphone, the Vivo V30e, will join the existing V-series lineup that includes the Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro smartphones. The Vivo V30e will succeed the Vivo V29e, which was launched in August last year. The smartphone has been confirmed to launch on May 2 at 12 pm. Ahead of the launch event, a bunch of details about the smartphone have been leaked. From expected pricing to confirmed specifications, here is what you can expect from the smartphone.
Vivo V30e expected pricing
Although the pricing for the Vivo V30e hasn’t been officially disclosed or even teased by the company, we can speculate based on the launch pricing of its predecessor, the V29e. In India, the V29e was available in two variants, both equipped with 8GB of RAM but varying in storage capacity (128GB and 256GB). The starting price for the V29e was Rs 26,999, while the higher storage variant was priced at Rs 28,999. These prices provide a reference point for estimating the potential pricing of the Vivo V30e upon its release.
Meanwhile, Vivo V30e teasers have confirmed that the smartphone will be sold exclusively via Flipkart, Vivo.com, and the company’s offline authorised partners.Â
Vivo V30e expected specifications
Vivo’s invitation and promotional materials offer a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming Vivo V30e. Teasers showcase the phone in an eye-catching deep wine hue, featuring a matte finish on the back complemented by a glossy strip along the right edge. Notably, the V30e flaunts a circular camera setup, housing dual lenses and a flash adorned with a luminous ringâa signature element of Vivo’s V-series known for enhancing selfies and low-light photography.
Rumoured details about the V30e’s display and camera setup have surfaced. Leaks suggest a curved 3D display and an impressively slim profile, potentially making it the thinnest phone with a 5,500 mAh battery. Reports hint at a Sony IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilisation for the rear camera, alongside the iconic aura light feature seen in its predecessors.
The V30e is speculated to come in Blue Green and Brown Red colour variants, deviating from the rectangular camera module of the V30 and V30 Pro to showcase a circular design at the top left corner.
Previous speculations point towards the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with 8 GB of RAM and running on FunTouchOS based on Android 14.
