Superstar Rajinikanth seems to be yet again playing a cop, this time in his upcoming film Vettaiyan. The actor has been flying across the country for the shoot of the upcoming film, directed by TJ Gnanavel. Now, a video of the iconic actor from Hyderabad has left the fans in excitement. In the viral video, Rajini can be seen in a uniform and getting out of an SUV.

Fans are seen swarming his car and cheering up as he gets out of the car. Here’s the video:

According to rumors, it is said that Vettaiyan is set to be a gripping action-packed saga inspired by real events. Reports hint at Rajinikanth essaying the role of a Muslim police officer. Notably, only in his last on-screen appearance, Lal Salaam, Rajinikanth was seen playing a Muslim businessman named Moideen Bhai.

Rajinikanth was last seen as cop in AR Murugadoss’s Darbar. Before that, he donned the khakhi for films Pandian, Naatuku Oru Nallavan, Kodi Parakuthu, Geraftaar, Moondru Mugam, and Anbukku Naan Adimai.

In a prior interaction, Rajinikanth hinted at the film’s rapid progress, indicating that Vettaiyan is slated for completion by the end of March. Following its wrap-up, he is poised to embark on his next cinematic venture, director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s eagerly awaited Thalaivar 171.

The star-studded ensemble of Vettaiyan features an array of distinguished talents including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan in pivotal roles. Backed by Lyca Productions, the film will feature the music of composer Anirudh Ravichander.
