Arvind Kejriwal can campaign but people will remember liquor scam: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal can campaign after being released on bail, but people will remember the liquor scam.
Talking exclusively to Aaj Tak/ India Today TV about Kejriwal’s bail during an election campaign in Raniganj in West Bengal, he said, “It is a temporary bail, and he has to surrender on June 1. He can campaign for the elections, but wherever he campaigns, people will only remember the liquor scam.”
On being asked about the Sandeshkhali incident, Shah said, “Women were being tortured on the basis of religion for vote bank politics for years, but West Bengal’s chief minister, who is a woman herself, didn’t take any steps to stop it.”
