Arsenal will be open to offers for Gabriel Jesus in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Brazil international is currently in his second season at Arsenal following his £45 million move from Manchester City in July 2022.

However, Jesus has endured a disrupted campaign for Mikel Arteta’s side due to knee issues and has scored just eight goals in 33 appearances this term.

According to The Athletic, Jesus’ future at Arsenal is ‘not guaranteed’ and that the Gunners ‘would be prepared to listen’ to offers for the 27-year-old at the end of the season.

Jesus’ current contract with the Premier League leaders expires in 2027.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are looking to sign a striker this summer with several No.9s have been linked with a move to the Emirates including Brentford’s Ivan Toney, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres.

When asked last month about Arsenal’s push to sign a new forward this summer, Jesus replied: ‘They already know if they want to so maybe this question is not for me.

‘My job is to try to work, train hard, improve what I have to improve and in the games try to help Arsenal win and then after obviously win trophies.

‘The speculation will always be there, not only here but every club. People want to decide who the club want to sign. This is happening not just at Arsenal but at a lot of clubs.’

Arteta, meanwhile, praised Jesus’ reaction after he was left out of the starting line-up for Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich last month.

‘They can be angry at me, that’s fine, but they have to make it professional not personal,’ Arteta said.

‘It’s my role to make those decisions, It’s not the person I am putting on the bench, it is the player. Gabriel had exactly the mindset that you would ask of him. I could see in his eyes that he was ready to make an impact. He loves the competition and he was tremendous.

‘If you ask any player, they will say that sometimes there is pain and they have to deal with that. That makes you as well, and Gabby has this toughness and character that he always wants to overcome.’
