Business news now and Ari Rabinovich joins us from the City News Business Center. Hey Ari. Hi Cynthia. All right, nobody likes this story, at least nobody with a car. Lines at the gas pumps will probably be wrapping around the block tonight. Ari, I could say that the the run for the pump is on after we heard from End Pro today, who predicted that GTA gas prices are set to spike an average of $0.14 at midnight to almost $1.80 a liter. It also includes pretty much all of Ontario and Quebec, and it could also send a ripple effect to other provinces in time. Now there’s no conclusive reasoning behind this, but industry experts believe it’s a combination of Middle East tensions, effects of the carbon tax, as well as a changeover from winter to some to summer gasoline brands now working against the narrative of tensions in the Middle East. Today, the price for crude oil fell by a 3% to just under $83 US the barrel. And this is partly to do with easing worries about a war between Israel and Iran. So that could potentially drive down gas prices from tomorrow’s spike. But only time will tell Cynthia. For now, it might be a good time to fill up, fill up before midnight. All right, all right. Now, stateside, Boeing is in full crisis control mode tonight. Absolutely, and this is definitely escalating the already tense situation for the jet maker now that it’s going right to Capitol Hill. Today two separate Senate hearings took place with Boeing in the crosshairs for safety and quality concerns surrounding the jet makers manufacturing process. One of the hearings featured an engineering whistleblower who said Boeing took manufacturing shortcuts that would significantly reduce the safety and life cycle, specifically referring to the 787 Dreamliner and the 777 planes. Boeing has pushed back on the allegations and defended the integrity of The Jets. And of course, it’s the latest round of heavy scrutiny of Boeing ever since that Alaska Airlines incident from January, Cynthia, when that door plug panel blew off a 737 Max 9 midair. All right now across the pond, Ari, it looks like families are adding a new type of condiment to their fridges. Do tell. Well, I’ve heard some people say they like their steak medium rare with a little pink in the middle. Or perhaps their burgers. Now they’re going to get a little pink on top if you want. So as a salute to Barbie’s 65th anniversary, by the way, she never seems to age. Mattel and Heinz UK announced a BBQ, or should we say BBQ sauce that happens to be, yes, bright pink. Oh my goodness. And I and I swear it is food. According to Heinz Cynthia, they say it’s a mix of vegan Mayo and BBQ sauce with beetroot extract to give it that pink hue. It’s being sold exclusively in the UK and in Spain for now, but the two companies said they are open to expanding into other markets in the future. So there is still a chance, Cynthia, that you can have a little bit of pink on your burger if you like. I don’t know. I don’t know about that. But didn’t they miss the boat? Shouldn’t they have done that last summer? Just saying it’s never a wrong time to try new things. I say, OK, I like your attitude. Hari Rabinovich, thanks very much for joining us. Thank you, Cynthia.
