Anand Mahindra shares pic of highway that was built through tiger reserve
Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared a post with a “terrific” juxtaposition of pictures of the elevated highway, a part of National Highway 44, through the Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh. His post captured the essence of wildlife coexistence and infrastructure development.
Mahindra’s post features two striking photographs. The first image showcases an elevated highway, a segment of NH 44, cutting through the lush greenery of the Pench Tiger Reserve. The second image captures a majestic tiger strolling beneath the elevated highway, seemingly taking full advantage of the passageway constructed for the unhindered movement of wildlife.

“Great Initiative. After all, we are moving into their place, so we need to think about them ,” a person said. “We are not allowing them to cross, they give us their forest. It’s their home,” another person said.Â

While another section of the internet questioned the construction of the national highway amid a tiger reserve.Â
“A basic question. Why do you need a 6-lane bridge through a tiger reserve? The more traffic, the reserve will be destroyed slowly. It’s like building a bridge inside our house and asking us to use the space below and people will drive above us. Conserve little of what we have,” a person said.Â
