American Express has inaugurated its largest global campus in India, covering approximately one million square feet, as part of its ongoing commitment to the country.
Sanjay Khanna, CEO and Country Manager of American Express, India, emphasized the company’s strategy to enhance local capabilities while leveraging global expertise and talent. He highlighted the new office’s role in fostering innovation and delivering exceptional value to customers worldwide.

“American Express in India continues to develop in-country capabilities by leveraging our global expertise and local talent, fostering new opportunities and innovation for customers worldwide. The new office building provides a modern, energy-efficient workspace, enabling our teams to continue driving innovation and delivering exceptional value to our customers worldwide,” said Sanjay Khanna, CEO and Country Manager of American Express, India.
According to The Economic Times report, located in sector 74A Gurugram, the new facility will see employees gradually transitioning starting from the end of May 2024. Notably, it has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification for Building Design and Construction (BD+C) Core and Shell Development, underscoring its energy-efficient and environmentally conscious design.

The report added that American Express in India plays a vital role in supporting all divisions of the company and delivering innovative products and services to its Indian clientele. The company already maintains a presence in Gurgaon, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune.
Central to the design ethos of the new campus is an emphasis on health and wellness. Outdoor green spaces and community areas, including lounges and pantries, have been integrated to promote employee well-being and foster a collaborative work culture.
