The latest jobs campaign comes after Amazon Australia announced last year that it would build the nation’s largest fulfilment centre at a site in Craigieburn, in Melbourne’s north.
The facility which is set to open by 2025 will be as big as the size of 11 MCGs and will be operated by a fleet of robots.
The four-storey building will be constructed on a mammoth 209,000 square meter plot of land and will cost $8.4 billion to build.
Amazon has been restructuring the business over recent years which has lead to lay-offs that has affected workers across the world.
The company announced earlier this year that hundreds of staff from several businesses including PrimeVideo and Twitch, would be let go to reduce costs.
