“Amazon vs. Starlink” will be the soon star event of the coming years, especially after the acquisition of Facebook’s satellite internet team, aiming to bring the same service as SpaceX. The rising popularity of satellite internet and its availability in most remote places and moving vehicles are on the rise, and Starlink has popularized it thanks to its launches.
Starlink’s satellite internet has started its national launch earlier this year, but it is still under a public beta that
does not guarantee the full-blown service that it initially boasts of. However, that would soon change as the company aims to go global by August
, expanding more than Fiber connections and 5G.

It was reported earlier by Tech Times
that Amazon has already acquired Facebook’s satellite internet team for an undisclosed amount of money, and it would be intended for a new internet connection. Surely, the market for satellite internet is not yet saturated, and this was a perfect time for Amazon to jump in on it, and provide their services.
With regards to what satellite internet would be the most ideal choice, the public should go for what is available, and it is Starlink, and that is because it has already gone through years of testing and experiments.
is at an early stage of developing the satellite internet, and that could mean a long time before it could launch its services to the public. Moreover, it would need to launch satellites and secure other needs like permits and licenses for this.
As of this moment, Amazon and Elon Musk’s group of companies are locked in a rivalry, now for satellite internet services. Before this, Amazon’s Blue Origins and Musk’s SpaceX
were the ones in competition, especially for securing contracts and deals with NASA, and other companies which hire them for the job.
Amazon’s Satellite Internet Team from Facebook
According to Engadget, Amazon’s recent acquisition from Facebook
would be focused on satellite internet, but there are no official announcements of what this venture would be named or its goals. Amazon has not yet revealed any services or products with regards to it, nor would it develop anything as of the moment.
Starlink’s Satellite Internet
On the other hand, Starlink’s satellite internet is already up and running, but is not yet in full release to the public. The company is still allowing pre-orders and sign-ups via its website, but users would have to queue up and wait for any contact efforts made by the Starlink team to confirm.
Starlink has been the most superior satellite internet service in the present times, and this was partly due to the high popularity of SpaceX, and its CEO’s hyping tweets about its capabilities.
