From Bioderma’s Micellar Water to Nuxe’s Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil and Avenue’s Thermal Spring Water mist, there are a number of cult French beauty buys that are well known for having multi-tasking properties.

Now, the brand behind one of the most iconic and versatile French products, one that is sold every eight seconds, has just released a brand new version of its popular cream in response to a growing beauty concern.

Embryolisse’s Lait-Creme Concentré is beloved by celebrities, make-up artists and beauty enthusiasts around the world because it is a multi-use product that nourishes, soothes and protects the skin acting as a primer, moisturiser, mask, cleanser and after-sun soother.

Building upon the original formula, Embryolisse has launched Lait-Creme Multi-Protection ($34.85), a moisturiser with SPF 15 that focus on hydrating your skin barrier and aims to help protect against blue light damage.

Along with aloe vera, soy proteins, shea butter and beeswax, the Lait-Creme Multi-Protection cream also includes organic UV filters in an effort to help shield against blue light and pollution

So if you spend your days in front of a screen and are exposed to the blue light these devices emit, this new release is something you’ll want to know about.

According to a recent study* working at computers can affect your skin as ‘being exposed to blue light accelerates the ageing process and produces cutaneous hyperpigmentation.’

The study concluded that ‘these negative consequences may eventually cause more general skin damage, which may hasten the ageing process. At times, skin protection may be crucial for protection against blue light.’

Despite only being launched in Australia on The French Beauty Co website last month, a happy customer has already raved about the product saying they ‘loved’ it. The beauty fan said: ‘Soft cream and perfect base for my make-up’.

The anti-pollution moisturiser can be used as a nourishing moisturiser on its own or it can be treated as a primer for under make-up.

I tried the new formulation and found it be quite thick, however it absorbed beautifully into my skin and left a nice glow. I also found my skin felt nourished throughout the day following a morning application.

I can be prone to breakouts but haven’t experienced any while using the product and feel it is a great addition to my regime, especially given the cooler weather we’ve been experiencing.

My beauty non-negotiable is an SPF50 and the Lait-Creme Multi-Protection cream sits nicely underneath my sun protection and a BB cream.

When adding in make-up, I found the cream worked well as a primer, keeping products in place throughout the day.

The original Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré was first created in 1950 by a hospital dermatologist.

It’s since gained a legion of fans, including A-listers like Kim Kardashian, Elle Macpherson and Lady Gaga.

Aussie Pharmacist and mum Alyssa Dimaggio has raved about the cream praising products in the range for their multitasking uses.
