A police search is underway for a man missing in waters off the coast of south east Queensland following a solo-fishing trip.
Family of the local Sunshine Coast man raised the alarm after he failed to return home on Sunday night.
The man, aged in his 40s, launched from the Mooloolaba Boat Ramp early on Sunday and was scheduled to return at around 3pm.

The Cruise Craft Regal 2000 boat he was travelling in around the Mooloolaba area was found on Monday morning, around two nautical miles from Comboyuro Point on Moreton Island.
Police searching along the water and in the air have been unable to find the man and will continue their search of the area.
